Other than ecommerce, the site is used as a way of communicating the various events and signings in the shop. This directly encourages more people to visit the retail store in London.
With a fiercely loyal fan-base we had to cater to the specific design requirements of these customers. They certainly don’t feel happy shopping on some ‘slick & ‘polished’ website that showed no connection with the Dr Who culture.
The final results were a delicate balance of creating something technically brilliant but retaining the charm and honesty of the shop being visited.
